This past weekend while driving through New Hope I passed this old car dealership and caught a glimpse of what i thought looked like a first gen Toyota Celica. They’re pretty rare, so I wanted to go check it out. After a closer look, I realized that it was an Opel by its unmistakable lightning bolt badge. Some of you might not appreciate a car like this, but I love the odd and more rare cars such as this one. This was Opel’s answer to Ford’s Capri back in the 70′s and was exclusively sold through Buick Dealerships being owned by GM.

If an NSX and a GT-R had an offspring, this would be the result: 1987 Nissan MID-4 Type II

Enter the Mid-4- Type II, released at the 1987 Tokyo MotorShow in a more-refined configuration than the 1985 Mid-4.
The Mid-4 Type II had similar specifications as the ’85 model but received motor updates via a dual-turbo and intercooled design cranking out 330hp.
Nissan chose not to persue the building this Japanese exotic due to production expenses.
Here’s a video of this beast in action (please enjoy the awesome 80′s music):
