Back to the future…from the past

It’s always interesting to look back at the forward thinking of the past.  Enter the Citroën Karin, designed by Trevor Fiore.  A three seater with the driver being seated centrally and ahead of the two passengers, this layout pre-empted that of the McLaren F1 of 1992.  Having no new models to reveal at the 1980 Paris Salon, Citroën stylist Trevor Fiore was given the go ahead to build a model (not a driveable car) for display.   As unpractical as the Karin was, this concept-like thinking that Fiore had is the only way to push past our preset limit of thinking what is possible that is missing from today’s models.
