illmotion: JKL’s Internet sensation s2k

Winter is coming up and the weather is starting to suck so much that you can see your breath during the mornings and evenings. Next thing you know, there’s a foot of snow outside your driveway and there’s no such thing as tucking tire anymore.

Jackie shows everyone that there is no such thing as being too low. Some are confused as to how he does it, but he does and he does it well. Every piece of the car is put together with attention to detail – something that seems common among the other S2000 owners like Nick and Jackson.

Custom candy blue TE37′s in 18×9.5 +22 all around, ASM bumper, Spoon buckets and diffuser, J’s carbon GT wing and titanium exhaust and a whole bunch of other goodies that make this car just as good as it looks.

This will probably be the last and potentially the only shoot that we get of his car before he heads back home to Victoria, B.C. Perhaps next year he’ll have something different in store and we can get that up on illmotion for you guys as well. Enjoy.

Jason @ illmotion – Wheel Swap Part I

Check us out! www.illmotion.com

Since last year, Jackie and I have been talking about swapping wheels once we got everything settled and good to go. Finally this evening we swapped his 18×9.5 +22 TE37′s on my car and my 18×9 +26 Meister’s onto his car.

I’ll split this into two parts, first up is Jackie’s car on the Meisters – which I think look fucking gangster. He’s got dish, he’s got fitment and he’s dumped. The white face goes so well with everything.. and well, I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

illmotion – Benny’s Toyota AE86

Well, here it is.. Our first official shoot of the season and I think it’s a great way to kick off the summer and the preview of things to come this summer. When this car was completed last year and it came to the beyond meet for one of the first times and Benny and Mike popped the hood, I knew I wanted to shoot it. Turns out illmotion got one of the first cracks at it and it turned out sick. I can’t even begin to describe the craziness of this car and the attention to detail that has gone into it.

From the F20 swap to the S2k cluster to the interior and exterior, this car has become complete perfection. There are boundaries that many people stop at to reach their ideal goal and image in a car – which is perfectly fine. It’s when guys like Benny don’t settle for those boundaries and they achieve something that just pushes the bar higher for the rest of us.

I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking. Head over to www.illmotion.com for more hot AE86 action!

Law Brothers: S2000 & K20-R

Near the end of the season last year we had the opportunity to shoot both Jackie’s S2000 and Dal’s K20 Type R together behind Speedtech. It’s not the ideal location, but the cars themselves make up for the lack of any type of backdrop you probably won’t even notice.

I will probably end up shooting Jackie’s S2000 again come this season with his new goodies, but for now.. this is how it sat before we closed 2009. In a way, I think we’re all trying to post up what we had for 2009 so that everyone can take a look at what we had and what we have coming. Think of them as fillers or teasers until Spring finally comes. Before you know it, you’ll be seeing sick rides all over ill.motion.

These two cars are the definition of balance and quality. You’ll begin to see a recurring theme with the cars we put on here – from the attention to detail the guys have to the expectation for nothing less than quality parts.

The build for these two cars has always pushed the envelope for the local guys in the tuning scene. You’re thinking of it? They’ve done it. Very rarely will you see a similar car because they strive to be different and by the time people have caught on, they’ve moved on. Keep checking back for updates during the spring of these two cars and what they have in store. It’s almost like free advertising!

Introduction: ill.motion

James Cale has been an acquaintance of mine for about a month now through my personal blog. Recently, several of us had launched ill.motion, the representation of our dreams, interests and inspiration. We are growing rapidly and we had decided to get James on-board with us to share different perspectives on the tuning industry and culture that we are all so submerged in. Thanks again to James for having us on his blog with him.

After a group of close friends got together and came up with an idea, it only took the passion and motivation that drives us to build our cars to get this rolling as quick as it did.
With the talents and efforts of everyone in the group, our hopes are to be able to spread the same enthusiasm and work that we share together with everyone else. With that said, we’ll start off with an introduction to each of us individually – we want you to know us and our cars and the scene that we thrive in.

Come visit our blog and follow us on facebook!

long live ill.motion
