illmotion: JKL’s Internet sensation s2k

Winter is coming up and the weather is starting to suck so much that you can see your breath during the mornings and evenings. Next thing you know, there’s a foot of snow outside your driveway and there’s no such thing as tucking tire anymore.
Jackie shows everyone that there is no such thing as being too low. Some are confused as to how he does it, but he does and he does it well. Every piece of the car is put together with attention to detail – something that seems common among the other S2000 owners like Nick and Jackson.
Custom candy blue TE37′s in 18×9.5 +22 all around, ASM bumper, Spoon buckets and diffuser, J’s carbon GT wing and titanium exhaust and a whole bunch of other goodies that make this car just as good as it looks.
This will probably be the last and potentially the only shoot that we get of his car before he heads back home to Victoria, B.C. Perhaps next year he’ll have something different in store and we can get that up on illmotion for you guys as well. Enjoy.
Law Brothers: S2000 & K20-R

Near the end of the season last year we had the opportunity to shoot both Jackie’s S2000 and Dal’s K20 Type R together behind Speedtech. It’s not the ideal location, but the cars themselves make up for the lack of any type of backdrop you probably won’t even notice.
I will probably end up shooting Jackie’s S2000 again come this season with his new goodies, but for now.. this is how it sat before we closed 2009. In a way, I think we’re all trying to post up what we had for 2009 so that everyone can take a look at what we had and what we have coming. Think of them as fillers or teasers until Spring finally comes. Before you know it, you’ll be seeing sick rides all over ill.motion.
These two cars are the definition of balance and quality. You’ll begin to see a recurring theme with the cars we put on here – from the attention to detail the guys have to the expectation for nothing less than quality parts.
The build for these two cars has always pushed the envelope for the local guys in the tuning scene. You’re thinking of it? They’ve done it. Very rarely will you see a similar car because they strive to be different and by the time people have caught on, they’ve moved on. Keep checking back for updates during the spring of these two cars and what they have in store. It’s almost like free advertising!

Hey guys, I’m just introducing myself as one of the newest guest bloggers for DETO International. I’m a 22 year old amateur photographer for automotive lifestyle. I’m from Calgary, Alberta, Canada – it’s rare to see a Canadian photographer on blogs that have a big fan-base. I have been into the import scene for about 5 years now and counting. I know it’s not as long as some of the veterans out there, but with times comes experience and I learn something new everyday. I’d like to introduce my ride of approximately 4 years now… say hello to my 2006 Honda Civic (FG1)
This is how she sits currently. I’ve got a bunch of goodies in store for this upcoming season including new coilovers, new wheels and some cool new aero. I’m hoping to be able to share that with everyone once I get them on.
Some of the things about my car you might be interested in are the mods..
I’ve gone through 3 sets of wheels since owning the car – making that one per season! My first set was a set of WORK Emotion XT7′s, then moved on to Gram Lights 57 Maximum’s, Last season I was rocking the Volk TE37′s and this season’s wheels should be here by months end hopefully. I guess you could call me a wheel whore.
Other mods include Recaro SRD’s, Nardi Deep Corn Wheel 330mm, Greddy Ti-C Catback, Function/Form Type II Coilovers – will soon be upgraded to Buddyclub N+ with pillowballs… and the list goes on…

I thought I’d share some pics from my trip to San Fran. Enjoy…

Any time I travel to somewhere that I haven’t been before, I always take notice on the fashion and car culture that an area has. San Fran easily has both without over-doing itself. Here are a few random snaps I took just on the street.
This one threw me off for a sec. I can honestly say that I’ve never seen this swap done before, and I’ve seen alot.

While I was in San Francisco, I wanted to visit many of the designers and boutiques I had only seen on blogs. My first stop was at Black Scale, located right in Union Square.
Once inside, we were greeted by Rubin. He was super cool and was a major help in me navigating my way around town. If you’re in the area def check them out.
